The 1600 square meters open-floor layout leaves us plenty of space for all our needs, which means that East of Eden will be our perfect home until our new main office Eden – which is right across the street! – opens up its doors for all of us at Massive in 2019.

The new floor layout also gives us the opportunity to work more closely together, which in the end helps us being even more creative and efficient in our daily work.

Moving to East of Eden will not only be great for our coming work with the Avatar project, but also for trying out new exciting concepts that can be used across the street at Eden when we move in there.

This means that we in the Avatar team will get the first taste of our future life at Eden already now. We aim to create an inspiring environment that fosters creativity and invokes peace, where we can be our best selves.

Both East of Eden and Eden are located in the Malmö district Möllevången – called Möllan amongst the locals. It’s a vibrant, international, and creative area, which is almost a perfect reflection of our Massive family.

Möllevångstorget – the main square in our new district.

It’s a vibrant, international, and creative area, which is almost a perfect reflection of our Massive family.

It’s also super central, and very close to our “old” office building, which makes it easy to get from one place to another before the whole of Massive is gathered in one office space again in Eden in 2019.

With our new office East of Eden, we will be able to realize our vision for both the wonderful world of Pandora and Massive as a game studio.

We can’t wait to take these first steps on our new journey to Eden and the bright future that awaits us.

Ubisoft, Lightstorm Entertainment and FoxNext Partnering on Game Based On Avatar Universe

Today, Ubisoft announced it is partnering with Lightstorm Entertainment and FoxNext to create a cutting-edge new game for consoles and PC set on Pandora, the beautiful and dangerous moon from director/writer/producer James Cameron’s Avatar film franchise. Massive Entertainment – A Ubisoft Studio, is leading the game’s development.

Massive is behind the creation of Tom Clancy’s The Division, which last spring broke multiple records in the games industry, including the record for the industry’s best-selling new game franchise in an opening week.

They are now working on a new AAA project based on Avatar, the highest-grossing film of all time.

Four sequels to Avatar are currently in development, and Lightstorm, FoxNext and Massive are working together to create a game that will continue to expand and deepen the Avatar universe in exciting and innovative ways along with the films.
